I applied brick facing to the wall, then plastered around it to make it appear that the entire wall was brick with plaster over it and some of the plaster fell off.  I added plaster to the rest of the wall (it looks similar to Venetian plaster, but was only about 1/2 the cost).  One wall was painted a deep red.  I painted the brick, cement grout, and plastered walls.  FUN, FUN, FUN !!!
